Meet the Ambassadors
The College of Agricultural Sciences Agricultural Ambassadors
are dedicated to enhancing the Land Grant Mission of Colorado State
University. Comprised of student leaders, the organization engages
in those activities that promote a heightened awareness and pronounced
vitality of the College of Agricultural Sciences, both on and off
campus.
Mission Statement
Striving to excel as leaders at Colorado State University, representing the
College of Agricultural Sciences, and promoting the Agriculture industry.
Our Purpose
Agricultural Ambassadors are outstanding students who are selected and trained
to represent the College at various public functions. Ag Ambassadors actively
recruit at high schools, give talks to civic organizations, conduct tours
on campus, and assist during the College of Agricultural Sciences activities.
In fulfilling the above stated mission, the Agricultural Ambassadors strive
to enhance personal development through applied leadership training. Through
cooperative efforts with the College of Agricultural Sciences Dean's Office
and the faculty and staff of Colorado State University, the Ambassadors promote
the highest ideals and standards of personal conduct, education, and diversity.

Team Attitude
The Agriculture Ambassador Leadership Program is developed on the basis of
teamwork and equal contribution of all members. The success of the program
is reliant on students' involvement and working together as a team to become
leaders among all Colorado State University students.
The Ag Ambassador is:
- A team player that is dedicated to promoting agriculture and strives to become
an effective leader on the Colorado State University campus.
- An honest individual who knows the value of a handshake.
- An energetic leader who only knows how to think big and motivate others.
- A leader who knows that hard work and persistence are valuable traits.

Program Structure
The Agriculture Ambassador Program is focused towards enhancing the leadership
skills of students within the Agricultural College. As an Agriculture Ambassador
your commitment and participation are rewarded, as students are enrolled in
2 credits for each semester of participation and a grade is assessed
at the discretion of the advisor. Students are required to maintain a minimum
G.P.A. of 2.5.

Membership
Membership in the Agricultural Ambassador Leadership Program is open to Colorado
State University College of Agricultural Sciences undergraduates and other majors, who are sincerely
interested in the promotion and enhancement of agriculture and agricultural
awareness. The selection of new Ambassadors will be at the discretion of the
current membership, advisor(s), and the Dean's office.
There shall be one initiation of new members during the regular
school year. A new member orientation will be held at the meeting immediately
following the interview/initiation process. A general orientation meeting
for all Ambassadors shall be held at the beginning of each semester.
At all times and in all situations and activities, the Agricultural
Ambassadors shall uphold the ideals and standards of the College of Agricultural
Sciences and the Agricultural Ambassadors as outlined in the Code of Ethics.

Code of Ethics
The faculty of the CSU Agricultural College has gained both recognition and
respect on national and international levels, becoming leaders in the agricultural
industry. It is expected of the Agriculture Ambassadors to strive for the
same ideals and become leaders on the Colorado State University campus. The
code of ethics is a reminder of the values and attributes that are expected
of those involved in the Agriculture Ambassador Leadership Program.
- Appropriately represent the College of Agricultural Sciences when serving
in the capacity of an Agriculture Ambassador.
- Be prompt at all activities and functions.
- Respect the opinions of others.
- Uphold the ideals and principles of the College of Agricultural Sciences
and Colorado State University.
- Dress neatly and appropriately for all official occasions.
- Demonstrate courtesy and professionalism at all times.
- Refrain from the use of alcohol, drugs, and tobacco while acting in the
capacity of an Agriculture Ambassador.
- Become educated about the history and purpose of the College of Agricultural
Sciences and Colorado State University.
- Share with others experiences and the knowledge you have gained while
acting as an Agriculture Ambassador.

for their positions and maintain active participation in the College, Industry,
and Ambassador activities.
