Ag Resource & Economics ranked #1 in nation

 

The Chronicle of Higher Education recently published the 2005 Faculty Scholarly Productivity Index, and the Department of Agricultural & Resource Economics ranked number one in the nation in the field of agricultural economics.

 

The index evaluates faculty members at more than 7,300 doctoral programs in the United States. It takes into account the number of book and journal articles published by each program’s faculty, as well as journal citations, awards, honors and grants received. CSU was followed next by Iowa State University and the University of California at Berkeley.

The College of Agricultural Sciences also ranked in other categories; the Department of Soil & Crop Sciences ranked number nine in the nation in the field of soil science and number ten in the field of agronomy and crop sciences. CSU (with a combination of programs,) ranked number eight in the field of food science.
