Commitment to drought, water and fire
A message from the Dean
| With an especially dry and hot summer, we are constantly reminded how important water is and how a drought can affect every aspect of agriculture, the economy and personal livelihoods. The College of Agricultural Sciences has a number of cooperative extension faculty cross the state dedicated to providing information to leaders, businesses, communities and individuals to help combat the drought. We also provide ongoing outreach and education efforts to provide much needed information to the public on topics ranging from water saving tips for home gardeners to fire protection and prevention information. |
 |
Drought, water and fire are all topics included in the College of Agricultural Sciences’ strategic plan. All areas of our strategic plan are designed to provide an excellent academic education, offer services and information to all corners of the state and fulfill the land-grant mission of Colorado State University. The drought Web site listed below also provides excellent information.
We hope you are able to use the services offered by your local cooperative extension office, and have a safe rest of the summer.
Sincerely, |
