Horticulture professor travels to Mongolia
Associate professor in Turfgrass Science and Management, Dr. Yaling Qian, will be traveling to Inner Mongolia in early August to give a series of lectures on Chinese Agriculture and discuss potential collaborations between CSU and several Chinese institutes.
Dr. Qian will be speaking at the Inner Mongolia Agricultural University and its’ newly established College of International Collaboration. Founded in 2005, the College of International Collaboration has already cultivated connections with agricultural colleges and universities throughout the world. Lectures will also be given at the Institute of Botany of Jisngsu Province and the Chinese Academy of Science.
While in Inner Mongolia, Dr. Qian will also be giving a presentation at the 3 rd International Conference on Environmental Enhancement and Sustainable Development. The conference, which will be held August 5-8, will cover ecosystem management, resource utilization and East-West interaction development. Dr. Qian’s trip to Inner Mongolia will allow CSU and the College of Ag Sciences to establish invaluable connections throughout the world and will add to our ever-growing Ag Family.
