Dr. Beyrouty is the chief administrative and academic officer with responsibility for leadership in coordinating and overseeing the College’s programs, budgets, and related activities including resident instruction, research, outreach, and international activities. The College of Agricultural Sciences includes the Departments of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Animal Sciences, Bioagricultural Sciences and Pest Management, Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, and Soil and Crop Sciences. The College also oversees the Colorado Agricultural Experiment Station, which runs research centers in ten locations throughout the state.

Dr. Sommers coordinates AES research programs in the following Colleges: Agricultural Sciences, Natural Resources, Engineering, Applied Human Sciences, Natural Sciences, Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and Liberal Arts. He also oversees applied research programs at research centers located in Akron, Walsh, Rocky Ford, Center, Hesperus, Yellow Jacket, Hotchkiss, Orchard Mesa and Fruita. Dr. Sommers facilitates basic and applied research programs with faculty in all departments of the College of Agricultural Sciences. With a background in soil science, his research experience focused on recycling municipal and industrial wastes on agricultural land. Teaching activities include soil microbiology, soil chemistry, and environmental sciences.

Dr. Irlbeck is responsible for “anything” academic involving students, curriculum, and teaching! Her greatest passion is the student, who she says are the most powerful people on campus! She works to recruit future students, support current students, and maintain a relationship with our graduates. Nancy fervently believes in the future of agriculture! Originally from Iowa, she is an animal nutritionist by training--a comparative animal nutritionist--working with food animals (like sheep), companion animals, and the exotic animal species.

Since 2003, Dr. Lamm has served as Director of the Master of Agriculture/Agricultural Extension Education professional graduate degree program, which is available both online and on campus. In addition, since 1994 he has served as the state Extension Sustainable Agriculture coordinator, and for the past 11 years he has coordinated the Animal Science department's Internship program for animal science majors. He is also involved in various small acreage management activities and is a board member of the Colorado Organic Producers Association. Dennis participates in numerous local, state, regional, and national committees involved in agriculture and since 2004 has been Coordinator of the Annual CSU Ag Day. Prior to coming to CSU as Extension Beef Specialist in 1981, Dennis was on the faculty at Virginia Tech for five years and was the 4-H Extension agent in Trinidad, Colorado, in the early 1970s. He received his Ph.D, M.S., and B.S. degrees from the University of Nebraska, Iowa State University, and Delaware Valley College, respectively.

Beka, a graduate of the College, has returned to her agriculture education roots to assist students along their agriculture career journeys. She serves as the Liaison to the Career Center and handles one-on-one appointments, drop-ins to the Career Center, and assisting students in the College of Ag with career counseling and job search skills including resumes, cover letters, interviews, etc. Beka also organizes internship opportunities, establishes mock interviews with employers, and handles all other employer relations year-round, but especially during Career Fairs.

Ryan coordinates and manages the staff and activities of the Deans' office. He serves as the Dean's liaison with other units within the college, academic departments, and other ag related constituents. He serves as the webmaster for the college and provides web support to other units and academic departments within the college.

Pam started working at CSU and the College of Agricultural Sciences in September 1997. Through the years she has managed and assisted with many events and currently she is the Assistant to the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Ag Day Assistant Coordinator, Colorado FFA Career Development Events Judging Coordinator, and College Academic Affairs Committee Assistant. Pam also orders books for the AGRI classes, works with graduate students and assists the Director of the Master of Agriculture program, organizes recruiting events, as well as helps in the daily operations in the Dean’s Office. Pam has two children--Jackie (’97 Technical Journalism, ’98 Agricultural Business) and Jason (’00 Landscape Horticulture). Pam has received multiple honors including the “Honorary State FFA Degree” and “CSU Guest Cannoneer."
