As Director of Development, Rick helps to champion the fundraising initiatives of the College. From new facilities to the support of students and research, Rick works to align the passions of donors with the programs and goals of the college. Together, we can all position the College of Agricultural Sciences as a true leader among agricultural institutions, thus providing quality research and young professionals for our community, state, and beyond. Private support for both the College and Colorado State University is key in building upon our already impressive legacy, and Rick’s role is to serve the needs of all involved.”

Kris's role as Assistant Director of Development is to raise the level of private giving to the College for efforts ranging from student scholarships and experiential learning, to facility improvements, to faculty and research support. Secondly, she assists with communications to alumni and friends and events around the state to build relationships with supporters of the College and University. Thirdly, the Development Office serves as the scholarship “hub” for the College by soliciting funds for and awarding scholarships to our outstanding students.Kris also has the opportunity to advise the Agricultural Ambassadors, our College’s leadership group and student representatives who work closely with alumni and donors, as well as help to recruit new students to our College. These are great students who are learning great life lessons through this leadership opportunity.

As Development Coordinator, Katie works to share our College’s news with our great alumni and friends. This is done through newsletters, websites, emails, brochures, and events. We often try to take our show on the road with our events, conferences, county fairs a many other outreach activities. The Development Office also serves as “scholarship central”. As administers of the scholarship program, we have the enjoyment of working through the process of awarding over 300 scholarships a year.
